The Verband öffentlicher Versicherer (VÖV) brings together Germany’s public insurers. With over 300 years of history and strong regional roots, they work closely with Sparkassen to help people protect what matters and plan for the future. This long-term responsibility became the starting point for their sustainability story.
At Sparkassentag 2023, the VÖV wanted to communicate its sustainability approach without relying on familiar green promises. The task was to give Sparkasse representatives something tangible to engage with, discuss and take away.

Make the public insurers’ approach to sustainability tangible for Sparkasse visitors, creating opportunities to explore the topic and discuss its relevance to insurance.
I translated the strategic brief into a visual and interactive exhibition concept, connecting digital storytelling, motion content and spatial design into a cohesive brand experience.
The exhibition connected this familiar insurance principle with responsibility for the future, translating the message into a space visitors could explore.
Maritime pine and fluorescent green defined the visual language. A large LED screen introduced the story, while conversation areas invited visitors to discuss its relevance to insurance.
Smoothie bikes made participation physical: visitors generated the energy to blend their own drinks. Interactive Paper brought further content onto their smartphones, extending the conversation beyond the stand.

The experience made sustainability easier to approach, giving visitors several ways to engage with the VÖV’s message.
